NorseHost is part of the MediaNordic portfolio – a small group of independent review sites that cover hosting (NorseHost), privacy tools (NoTrackr), and adjacent Nordic tech verticals. We’re based in Denmark and our audience is Nordic developers, IT-literate SMBs, agencies, and hobbyists.
What we cover
- Shared hosting, managed WordPress, VPS, cloud, and dedicated servers
- Nordic-region data centres (Hetzner FIN, UpCloud HEL, OVH, Scaleway)
- Domain registrars with
.dk/.se/.no/.fisupport - CDN, edge, and DNS (Cloudflare, Bunny, Fastly)
- Email hosting and transactional mail APIs
- Tools that meaningfully affect Total Cost of Ownership for a dev team in the Nordics
How we make money
Affiliate commissions. When a review recommends a provider and you sign up through our link, we may earn a one-time or recurring commission. That commission is disclosed on every post and does not influence the ranking. We publish negative reviews of affiliate partners when the data says we should.
Our methodology document explains the exact criteria we grade on and how we weight them. If an affiliate ever asks us to soften language or remove a criticism, we drop the program. This has happened.
Editorial process
- An AI content pipeline drafts long-form reviews daily from a topic backlog we maintain.
- A human editor reviews every draft for accuracy, tone, and compliance before it publishes. Prices are spot-checked, uptime claims are linked to source.
- We re-verify top reviews quarterly.
- We cite sources (official pricing pages, independent benchmarks, status pages). Dates matter in this niche – a 2023 review of a 2026 product is a disservice to the reader.
